SessionCodex 1.6.2 is available now for macOS — a maintenance release focused on protecting what you’ve entered and noticing what you’ve changed.
Fixed
- Tempo, key and time signature you enter yourself are no longer erased. Sessions from any DAW without a built-in reader — Pro Tools, Logic, Reaper and others — had their musical details cleared on every scan. Anything you type now stays put, and a scan will never overwrite a value you entered.
- A bounce you’ve marked as the primary is no longer removed when you remove a scan folder in Settings, or when its folder goes away. It’s kept and flagged instead, so your choice survives.
- Moving a project to a different album no longer fails with a database error. The project moves and returns to Staged, ready for you to place it.
- “Go to Session” now appears on every project, including ones that hold only a bounce.
New
- SessionCodex checks your library folders when it starts. Files you add, move or remove in Finder while the app is closed are picked up on the next launch instead of going unnoticed.
- Sessions filed under the wrong project can be fixed from the verification results. Each one shows both folder locations in full, opens either in Finder, and offers to re-file it under the project it’s actually in, move its files into the project it’s assigned to, or unlink it.
The app will offer 1.6.2 automatically — install it in one click. Questions or feedback: [email protected].
